What other churches are involved in Bible Quizzing?

We've discussed that the Bible Quiz Team will be traveling to local churches on a monthly basis for Quiz Meets. That logically raises the question, "Where will be traveling to?" There are several local churches involved in Bible Quizzing - and we quiz with the Eastern District of the EFCA.

• Trumbull, CT  (Calvary Evangelical Free Church or check out the team blog)
• Cresskill, NJ  (Northern Valley Evangelical Free Church)
• Sparta, NJ (Sparta Evangelical Free Church)
• Dallas, PA (Fellowship Evangelical Free Church)
• Lititz, PA (Lancaster Evangelical Free Church)
• Hershey, PA (Evangelical Free Church of Hershey)

Most local meets will be with Trumbull, Cresskill, and Sparta since they are much closer to us.

What kinds of events are there for Quiz Team?

There are many events available for Quiz Teamers during the year.  The major ones include:

• A weekly practice (for our team, Sunday during Sunday School)
• A monthly Quiz Meet against other teams at a regional EFCA church (CT, NJ, or PA)
• Twice a year, we have a "major" Quiz Meet (with trophies!) in January/February (Midwinter) and April/May (Districts).  These may be overnights, depending on their location.

Besides these, we may have special opportunities for trips (usually after a Quiz Meet) to a local place of historical significance.  Past trips have included the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Hershey Chocolate World!  

(No quiz meets are mandatory.  If you just want to come to the practices, that is fine.  But we encourage teens to come, if their schedules allow.)
